The Host

Wednesday, October 11th, 2006

This is  a long over dued post…. but since I`m wide awake with nothin to do now in Narita and I have 2 hours to kill before my flight call time I might as well take this opportunity to blog watever it is that I wanted to blog for the past few months but didn@ have the time to.

OK…. the HOST…right the Korean Monster Movie that was showing 2 months back or was it 3… anyway please do make it a point to go watch it…be it on DVD or downloaded or watever…its just farking hilarious, emotional, sad, pitiful all at the same time.

I mean I`ve never been a fan of any horror or monster flicks especially Korean or Japanese ones…but after being cajoled by Jay and the good ratings, I gave it a shot and with no regrets watsoever…

I dun wanna give away spoillers to the movie but the ending was sort of `not the way its suppose to end, coz the daughter died in the end`…but anyway its a real entertaining show…with family values…hey..family values in a monster flick OK…. so just go watch it ok…

yes…Snuffy is my stuffed dog given to me on my 18th bday from my ex… he`s been with me for 6 years and still i still love him to bits….

To me he`s as real as you and i can be…. he has emotions like you and me and can feel pain like you and me (the other day i had to bandage and cast Snuffy`s right leg because Jay accidentally sat on it) ….i just can sense whether he`s happy or sad or angry or moody just by looking at his innocent cute black shiny eyes… and the best part now…so can Jay.

Lately we`ve been taking Snuffy along with us to wherever we go… to shopping malls, eateries and even to the cinema…. yup…by now i bet you all must think that we`ve lost our marbles or we are just plain `mou liew` but we enjoy having Snuffy around us, it just makes the whole outing…complete. I just love it when people walking by give us the `WTF` look when they see a stuffed dog popping its head out of a Muji black shoulder bag.

I guess once you spend some time with Snuffy, he sort of rubs on you. My ex was pretty attached to Snuffy as well…and when we broke up the first thing he asked back was Snuffy… `Snuffy`s MINE..Get another one for urself at the shop` I defended.. `But the others are not the same…they are just not ..Snuffy` he replied…. Yea i know there can never be another Snuffy in this world like there can never be another you or me.

Soon Snuffy getting he`s very own passport (thanks to Jay)…. then he`ll be able to travel along with me to wherever I go…LEGALLY..haha… isn`t he lucky dog…. MY DOG.

P/S: I wanna thank my salty raisin (Jay) for loving Snuffy the way I love him. It`s very rarely that other ppl can just play along with me and treat my stuffed dog like a real one. Thanks Bee…

The 6th deadly Sin: GLUTTONY

‘WooHoo…. I’ve got license to eat more later  at Sushi Tei’ I thought to myself as the red diods on my FitSki9000max flashed a 900digit to me indicating the amount of calories I’ve burnt in the past hour. After a quick stretch, I jumped into the showers and got ready a.s.a.p so that I could make it in time for the rendevous with Jay at Kinokuniya at 2030hour.

We had planned earlier to have dinner at Sushi Tei at Vivo, the new shopping haven at sentosa….but in the end, due to ’somebody’ lack of punctuality by the time we got there they were already closing. So we decided to try out another Jap restaurant there, ‘Aji by Hanabi’. The place looks rather fancy but i find that the decor was not very japanese. Their menu lists were rather confusing and the choices were quite limited. We had a tough time finding something we actually want to order. In the end Jay decided to take the Beef with Japanese Herbs, a Tobiko Sushi and a Soft Shell Crab handroll, I settled for the Teriyaki Cod ( my third choice after the seared tuna and grilled snapper because they were out of it ). We also took their Mushroom Salad.

The food was prepared quite fast, surprisingly… My cod came first then followed by the sushi and hand roll. We dug in first as we were famished…so far so good…until the beef came… it was practically raw… I mean I love rare bloody steaks but this even I couldn’t handle.

Next came the mushroom salad…one word for it….super duper sour…. but it was warm…so we sort of cooked the slices of raw beef by burying it under the salad….still it didn’t taste better. At this point we were already thinking of where to go next for a second round of meal.

Conclusion….first and the last time there… Oh btw the check came out to about S$70plus.

Ok enough about AJi-Ha-Na-Beh..it’s desert time…greedy greedy greedy…what shall i have for desert … yes!!! a hearty yummylicious cheesecake at Starbucks with my fav chai latte. Jay had a caramel frap which was so so sweet. Ok ok we o.d-ed our self on sugar and now are craving for something salty. We looked across and…. *pada pa pa da…I’m lovin it* McDonalds… oily salty sinfully heart clogging french fries….PERFECT!!!…. I can hear it already..the sound of a toilet bowl flushing…flushing away the 900calories that I so painstakingly burn today…. I admit I’m guilty of gluttony…
