Bollywood Style
Sunday, November 12th, 2006I was on down with severe menstrual cramps the last two days. It was so bad I cried my way to jump queue at the clinic… I’ve never been so happy to get a jabbed in the butt with pain kilers. Anyway I took 2days MC and tht disrupted my Melbourne flight and I was put on standby…. Guess where I got called up to… BOMBAY!!! WTF!!!….. of all flights… *#%$@!!*<grumble>. I had no choice but to do it… I’m skrewed!! The only bright side to it is tht based on the set of crew, I’ll be in Business Class all the way…
As expected, the flight was horrendous…. havoc and panic in all classes as it was an over booked flight. My IFS was practically drowning in complaints letters received on tht flight. I did not dare to set foot into Economy class as everytime I peeped over there, almost every Crew was attending to a disgruntled pax.
After a hard flight some of the indian stewardess decided to hit the clubs to party all their stress away… they manange to kajol a few guys and myself to go. I was reluctant at first I mean…. come on … CLUBBING in BOMBAY?? < imagine indian guys and girls shaking their booties to Bollywood hits.. chasing each other around pillars in substitutes for coconut trees> … but then again it could be fun…with the right company…and looking at the set of crew going (Shivani, Priya, Natasha, Azmeen, Kelvin, Suresh and Jaswant)…Chances of fun are high. Plus it’ll be an experience….
So we checked out stuff into the room, got changed and met downstairs at the lobby. The club was at the basement level of the Hotel and it looks pretty ok. i mean got standard la…. With bouncers and all… the crowd there wasn’t too bad… a lot of mid 20s and all grooving to the music….and when i say groove in Bombay its not like just swaying urself to the beat…. they BOUNCE to it… B-O-U-N-C-E. They are all so into the music and you should see they way they can shake their assets…. <jaw drops>.
Seeing the people there being so energetic… you sort of get pumped up to hit the dance floor as well… and I must admit their music there ain’t bad at all…. After a round of drinks all of us ditch the bar and went for the dance floor. Shivani was a true bollywood dancer…Suresh too. Azmeen was just plain funny and entertaining as he ‘jiggie’ he’s way the Singaporean GS Style. Priya later bought us all a round of tequila shots, which boost up all of our dancing moves. We stayed there and boogied all the way till the club close at about 3am.
After so much dancing, everyone was starving so they decided to go for makan… And at 3am…we found a buffet spread within the hotel. Wow…this hotel is great!!! I was too tired and sleepy to eat so Kelvin walk me back to my room before he adjourned to the buffet as well. He’s such a gentlemen…and a genuine one WITHOUT agenda. Its so difficult to find people like these nowadays. But anyway I had a great time clubbing in Bombay… I guess being called up for this flight ain’t so bad after all….
